How I Work

Buying or selling real estate can be a long, stressful, invasive process. It’s vital to work with someone you can trust—someone with a deep understanding of what you want and what you need.

Whether you’re buying, selling, or both, our relationship begins with guided discussions about why you’re in the market right now, what you hope to accomplish, and what really matters to you.

My job is to ask useful questions. For instance, if you’re looking for a home, I want you to tell me everything: What does your dream house look like? Where is it located? How does it feel as you walk through the front door and move from room to room?

I want you to show me where you live. Tell me what you love about it, and what doesn’t work for you. What have you learned from your time there? How does that guide you to your next home? Show me the books on your shelves, the couch that will move with you. I learn a lot from your space.

I want you to imagine your new home. What does that look like in your head? How does it feel? What colors do you see? Do the rooms have molding, or are they clean-lined? Do they remind you of your childhood home or someplace else?

I want to know how you make big decisions. What was it like when you searched for your current home? Your car? Are you moving to get away from something? (Freeway noise, bad neighbors, small rooms.) Or are you moving toward something? (Sunnier weather, BART access, a garden.)

Your answers help me help you find exactly what you’re looking for.
